Today started off crazy. Me and my husband were woken up by the owner and two other guys of the car lot we bought our car. We are currently doing in house financing with them. Well anyways we got a surprise visit by them at our house saying we didn't make our car payment. My husband comes inside and says "we made our car payment last month didn't we?" I told him yeah I have the receipt in the car. That's when he told me who was at the door. My husband was like uhmm well can you tell them that cuz they want the keys to the car or cash. I walked outside in my pj's, hair all a mess, bags under my eyes, and baby spit up on me. Told the owner we made the payment and I'll prove it. Went to the car and handed him the receipt stating we made our payment. His facial expression was priceless. Guess he needs to train his nephew and father in law how to properly document that their customers made their payments. He apologized so fast shook my hand my husband's hand and said let me go apologize to your family for waking you guys up. Guess he was embarrassed for the mistake they made because I've never seen someone want to leave so fast. Wonder what he'll say when we make our payment this month and early at that. Just glad I keep receipt for every bill we pay. Just because of what happened I'll be making copies of all the receipt just in case by the time September come (when car should be paid off) they don't try to say we didn't pay the car off. The moral to this story is keep your receipts even if it's for something as not so major like a phone payment because mistakes happen.
