wtf is up with l&d?!?! I'm unsure if my water broke or not and they want me to see if anymore comes…

my aunts water broke on August 6th, small leaking, she wasnt dialated enough, and they sent her home to labor. The next morning she had stronger contractions, and my cousin Jeremiah was born. I think they just want to make sure it is leaking, believe me you would be suprised how many people pee themselves. You will know if its your water if it continues to leak, your water wont stop if it broke

Technically they have to keep a woman who's water broke up until the baby is born. It's very dangerous otherwise.

well this is my first so I don't know what feels like what I'm 3cm and 50% and my Dr has already said when I was 32 weeks that I had went into labor from March 15th to when I was 32(at some point) and didn't even know it. they just checked my cervix Monday and she said I was 3 and doing that can start labor also. @ilovemykids24 @rachel8792 but before they told me to come in if I was bleeding or my water breaks well called them and they want me to give it an hr but what if nothing else comes out and something ends up happening?

Did alot gush out? Labor and delivery has to tell you that to make sure. Honestly if it was your water it will continue, but if you truly believe all of your water has ruptured, better safe than sorry and go in. You dont have to listen to their advice, its advice. I know where you are coming from when I had my first son, I had many labor and delivery experiences. You should go in if you are really concerned though

They are not rejecting you, but I would say trust your instincts. I would go in just to be safe that way you're not up all night tossing and turning worrying about it

I would just go in hun. It's your body, if you think something is abnormal then I think you should go in. Rather be safe then sorry.
