Rant: My brother and sister in law asked my husband and I to watch their almost 1 year old so they could go out to dinner for their anniversary. Sure no problem!! He's seen us and been around us plenty of times. Problem is...They haven't let anyone hold him since the day he was born. They left, we played, he was fine until my husband or I picked him up. He's fine with us from a distance apparently lol. But we have to feed the kid, change his diaper, etc. right?! The poor kid had major anxiety/panic attacks when we touched him to feed him or change him, and put him down. We're talking bloody murder, red in the face terror screams! But as soon as we put him down or weren't touching him...happy as a clam! **Note to self (a first time mom): LET PEOPLE HOLD YOUR KID, especially close friends and family members who will most likely be the babysitters for the first few years!**
