Got mad at my husband for suggesting a sandwich when I can't eat lunch meat

why cant you eat lunch meat?

@oklahoma.girl55, lunch meat is not recommended for pregnant women because it can carry bacteria. you're supposed to avoid it

noooo? ive been to 4 different doctors this pregnancy because ive moved alot and each one of them said lunch meat is perfectly fine if its heated up when you heat it up it kills any kind of bacteria that could harm you.

@oklahoma.girl55, my ob told me to avoid it. I'm assuming that's why she can't eat. I hate lunch meat anyway so it doesn't bother me, but it's something my ob was adamant about with me

I've also had a couple different doc's this pregnancy who said lunch meat is perfectly fine. My midwife said if I was really that worried then I could heat it up. Only lunch meat I was told to avoid was Bologna which I'm not a fan of anyways. But it shouldn't be a big deal! I'm almost 39 weeks and sandwiches have been a major craving of mine this whole pregnancy, baby is healthy as can be :)

Yeah I won't eat cold lunch meat because of what it carry in it. I'll eat if it's hot. And I've been craving it a nice cold ham sandwich with mayo, mustard and chips!! @kayloniandkirksmommy @oklahoma.girl55

I actually ate it quite a few times during my pregnancy but hey better safe than sorry

I'm on my 4th baby and have ate lunch meat with all of my babies and they are all perfectly normal and no complications with my pregnancy or their birth and I hate it A LOT because I crave Italian Hoagies lol

i literally ate jimmy johns for 2 weeks straight and am 35 weeks with a healthy little girl so idk guess some people just prefer to stay away from it. @bry142

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it just me personally. I'm super cautious about what I put in my body. We suffered a miscarriage in 2014 so this our rainbow baby. @oklahoma.girl55
