My hubby and I have a long history, but it's an interesting one and worth the read. To be honest, I don't think I would still be alive today without him.

He was my older brothers friend and then when I joined youth group the summer before 6th grade, we ran into each other at a camping trip the youth group went on. That's when I remember meeting him. Later that year, I asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance at school. I was in 7th grade, he was in 9th. I asked him out at the dance. We dated for about 8 months but we were both super shy. His sisters friend wanted to date him so my SIL pulled me into the bathroom before lunch one day and said he wanted to break up with me. Whatever. I was 13 and didn't really care. Thing is, she didn't tell him until he got home that night and he was too shy to come talk to me. A couple years later, we ran into each other at a school play. I had recently moved but was watching a friend who was in it. He was in it too. We talked for two hours after and I was gonna go the next day too but my mom didn't let me. We both dated other people that school year. At the end of the year, we met again at a mutual friends grad party. I was super anxious and my OCD was acting up so I was sorting the graduation confetti into cups. He came up and started sorting with me. Didn't say a word. Took a couple days to get him to ask me out but when he finally did, the rest became history. He's stuck with me through a crap ton of craziness. Self harm, stress induced hallucinations, and hospitalizations. My mom snuck her phone in with her so I could talk to him when I was hospitalized. I stuck with him through boot camp and marine corps training and stations. We've been through a lot together. I've hurt him, and he's hurt me in return. Now, we've been married for 2 and a half years. We decided to start a family after I was sexually assaulted and got pregnant two months after being raped. I needed something to live for. My husband will never know it, but this little boy we are bringing into the world saved my life. And so did #mySO
