I met my husband on a dating website. Maybe you've heard of it, Plenty Of Fish. Anyways, before I got my badass job with the office and the parking space I was an unpaid intern for 2 years.

I had my bachelors and master's and did 2 years of med school before deciding I preferred paperwork and research to dealing with patients. So I interned and worked a few part time jobs to survive. I was so poor that I couldn't afford to feed myself, my dad would give me peanut butter and jelly every week. So I dated a lot casually and got a message from a guy in SLC. Since I wasn't really looking for anything serious and his profile was so cute and funny I started talking to him.

I guess he was super frustrated with dating in Utah and wasn't having much luck - so he looked in surrounding states and found me in Denver and apparently was so excited that I responded to him that he was already smitten. He didn't think I would respond because to him I was way to pretty and smart to ever like a guy like him.

Little did he know, I have a sweet spot for goofy dorks with awesome senses of humor and green eyes.

Anyways, part of his 'courting me' was sending flowers and food and little toys to my work. At the time I was at a salon doing skincare and hair. He knew I couldn't afford to feed myself so he would send large pizzas and family packs of wings, lots of foods I could eat for several days. My favorite was the toys. He sent me a stuffed zombie and a zombie piggie bank and a few little hello kitty toys. It was awesome.

After about 4 months I was ready for him to come visit because I figured that even if there wasn't chemistry we would make awesome friends.

When I went to pick him up from the airport I was so nervous I kept pacing around waiting for him to exit the terminal in DIA. I recognized him instantly and was completely frozen because he looked even cuter in person (I had seen him on Skype and FaceTime of course) and I was so surprised. He immediately grabbed me and kissed me in the airport. I'm sure we made a spectacle because we made out in the middle of the airport for like 10 minutes before entering into a violent bear hug. It was love at first sight!

Our trip was amazing. I took him all over Denver to my favorite spots. He ended up falling in love with Woody's pizza in Golden CO so we actually went back a few times. I felt bad that I was gluten intolerant so I didn't tell him and ate the pizza anyways.... I ended up with gastrointestinal distress.... I'm talking rancid farts and diarrhea. I thought for sure that he was going to leave and never talk to me again, that I had messed up my chance at true love over pizza farts. But he didn't care. He was more concerned that I was sick and took care of me the last 2 days before he left.

By August my lease ended and I told the company I was interning for that I was relocating and they offered me my current job and gave me 1200 bucks to relocate.

It was fate!

I moved to Utah the August after meeting Nick and by November he put a ring on it, 2 years later we tied the knot, 6 months later bought a house and now we have a baby due any day now just a year after buying our home in Murray. It's been a crazy 4 and a half years that's for sure! He drives me crazy sometimes but he's the love of my life... I'm so excited to meet our baby. #MySO
