You sound like I did during my 1st pregnancy. With hard work it does get better! With my 1st I had to stay with my mom for awhile, had to have WIC, and walked to and from work. I had to supply my own food and it was a struggle. Now I own my car, we are about to own a second home, and I have my own garden. Granted It took me ten years but hard work paid off. Hang in there!
@dawnsurvivor, we'll congrats on being able to accomplish that. some people just don't have that luxury. I don't even have the means to get a job. with no college education, you can't get a good enough job to support a family but most can't even afford college. that's the boat I'm in. my husband works his tail off almost 40 hours a week but we can't even afford our own place.
I was in the same boat. I had no education then I went to college. It was hard doing it with a family to care for but I worked and also got student loans. .. a lot of them. It is very possible. You sound like you've given up before you've even started. I also worked hard for good grades to get scholarships and since I was dirt poor I applied for a lot of Grants and got some. Good luck
My husband has two degrees and works 60 hour weeks just so I can be a SAHM for now. Hard work pays off and a college education is so important to get fair wages.
I've gone to college for 2 semesters. I can't afford to pay back student loans. I had to drop out. I haven't given up. I have faced my reality. I can't get grants. I don't have time or means to go to college.
The point is to get loans if you need them and pay them back after you get a good job after you graduate. You don't have to pay a cent while in school and they give you 6 months after you get out before you have to make a payment.
