Has anyone ever nearly passed out during a blood draw? They took 5 tubes today and my step mom was there for it. She was holding onto me and she said suddenly I got cold and my eyes rolled into the back of my head and my arm stopped giving blood. When the nurse took the needle out I started dry heaving. I've gotten my blood drawn before and was fine.

I've actually fainted once before I got pregnant &I just recently when I got the 5 tubes drawn I also felt the same way! I had to stop half way and drink some juice because I seriously felt like I was about to throw up and I was seeing stars.

this happens to me every time I get blood drawn. I now how to get them to let me lay down because I've passed out so many times.. Next time you have to get blood drawn make sure to eat a BIG meal before hand and take orange juice with you for as soon as they are done, ask if they can let you lay down and take your time when getting up to leave.
