I've been 1cm 50% effaced since 24 weeks. 3 weeks ago when I was checked I was 1ish and 60% effaced. if docs are worried about you dialatingtoo soon there is medicine :)
I delivered at 33. My boy was in the NICU as a level 3 (most intensive care) baby for 3 weeks, was on breathing assistance and in an incubator to keep him warm, and he was 5 lb 5 oz. He was also being tube fed, aside from being on numerous IVs every day. He we moved to a level 2 SCN the last week and a half of his stay and then he was able to come home. He is doing fabulous now!
@mommytobe0703, babies born at 33 weeks stand a very good chance if they are able to be born at a hospital with a NICU setup. Not all hospitals have them and that's where it can be extra scary, having your brand new baby med flighted away from you. Lucky for me, my baby was able to be born at a children's hospital with the best NICU staff in the area and he did great. Without this NICU, things would have gone very bad because eng with steroid shots to mature his lungs, he still was struggling to breathe in his own - so he was put on bubble CPAP breathing assistance.
@sarahemccormick, I'm glad he's alright. I'm praying we don't have to do that. I can't imagine how hard it'd be to have to watch your child go through that.

@mommytobe0703, I'm hoping to make it atleast another month. I've already dilated 1 so I'm really nervous.

@addilynsmommy, thank you! I am just trying to offer you hope, just in case, that he will be okay. Do you know if your hospital has a NICU setup?
