This is at the hospital I'm supposed to deliver at 😳😳 I actually had a couple people tell me they had problems with this while they were there AH what do I do? I think I need to go to a different hospital. How do I switch hospitals this late in the game?

OMG . Yes ! Methodist is HORRIBLE. You should look into a different hospital. IU ? St Vincent , community north is really nice & eskinazi has a new birthing center

@teja community north is the one I'm gonna go to, it's like 5 mins away from my house. I live in Castleton/fishers area. I have been wanting to switch damn near my whole pregnancy but my midwife always gave me a reason not to. But that right there is inexcusable

Yes you should be able to . I literally switched doctors & hospitals 2 weeks before my induction. I'd just let ur midwife know & maybe she could help .

Just remember your doc might not have admitting privileges at every hospital

Uhhh I would switch for sure. Bed bugs are not something to mess around with. I can't even imagine bringing them home with a new born😫

@marskhaos she's a midwife but I know she won't go to a different hospital :/ that's why I'm torn! I really like her but I do NOT want to bring bed bugs home nor be in a place with them @jleightutt

just call another doctor, make an appointment with them and grab your paperwork from your current OB and you'll be set. or when its time for labor just go to a different hospital. if your dilated enough for them to admit you, they will keep you there.

Thank you @kelseys I actually thought about just going to a different hospital when I go into labor but since I'm a FTM I don't wanna get there too early and have to be sent home. So I have a doc appointment on Thursday with my current OB and such, do I just ask for all my records? I'm sure she's gonna ask why and when I tell her I'm gonna switch she's gonna try everything to convince me not to 😞

Idk that another dr/midwife would start seeing you at this point, and your midwife may only have privileges at this hospital

I know she won't be able to go to a different hospital, I'll for sure have to deliver with a different doctor. But having to see a doctor I don't know is worth it to not have bugs @bianca_rose
