braxton hicks are mainly uncomfortable and irregular, and usually go away if you change positions, eat or drink. labor contractions with have a steady rhythm and become closer and will be more or so painful rather than uncomfortable. they say you'll know they're real when you cant walk or talk through one, but i was yakin the whole time i was in labor with my daughter. if it's too concerning, you can always give l&d a call and ask them. they'll most likely want to have you come in though. time them and see if theres a close pattern for at least an hour. if so your best bet is that its probably labor.
