*Co-Sleeping Safety- There are a lot of benefits to co sleeping, but you might be wondering if cosleeping is safe. Perhaps you’re concerned about rolling onto baby. When parents follow safe cosleeping guidelines, it is a safe option for families to rest well.
* To safely cosleep:
● Use a firm mattress and a bed surface free of entrapment hazards
● Parents should not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medications that can have a sedative effect
● If you are a smoker, baby should have a separate sleep surface such as a bassinet
● Do not allow children to share a sleep space with a baby under one year
● If baby is bottle fed and not breastfed, they should sleep on a separate sleep surface alongside mama’s bed
● If you are difficult to rouse, have sleep apnea or are extremely obese, baby should be on a separate sleep surface
● Do not wear clothing with strings and wear very long hair tied up
● Keep fluffy pillows and blankets away from baby, and be sure baby does not get overheated
Every family needs to find what gets everyone adequate rest. For many families, cosleeping offers many benefits and most of all, adequate sleep!

My son co-sleeps with me since day one. We put him in his crib too but since y husband works the overnight shift baby just stays in the bed with me to keep me company.

when I had my first son, he slept in my bed until he started sleeping through the night and then he'd only sleep with me if I brought him in by choice (not coz I didn't have a choice lol)... Then, when my daughter was born, she had colic and really bad acid reflux. she wanted absolutely nothing to do with my bed OR HERS!!! The only way she could sleep was in her swing, bouncer, carseat, etc. She had to be propped up though...... I've got a wooden cradle that will go in my room (it's like half the size of a standard crib), so I'll literally be able to pick up the entire co-sleeper (with him in it) and put the co-sleeper in the cradle if I feel like stretching out or whatever. but, with breastfeeding, it's so much easier when they're right there. and they fall back asleep faster at night the less they're stimulated.

@kala_elise, the halo bassinet swivels 360 degrees, and moves. It's just like a co sleeper, except you can move it to the side of the bed.. The sides also push down (with a little effort) so it's easy to grab them to breast feed.
