okay question(again, I'm sorry!😂 just new at all this) :
so can someone explain to me why you should only lay on your left side while you're pregnant? I'm definitely a right side person and was wondering if it would hurt the baby or cause any problems? also, how early should I stop laying on my right side?

It puts less strain and weight on the baby, sane reason you shouldn't sleep on your back. If it's not making you uncomfortable then your baby is most likely not bothered either

I rarely sleep on my left side and my son is doing fine in there.. I do lay on my left side when in awake trying to get him to move or to stop contractions.. @savvylynn1

I'm so confused on why it gives better blood flow from one side to another😩 like what makes a difference haha

Supposedly baby gets its nutrients better when you sleep in your left also

hmm I never heard of that before until now lol. I always lay on both sides especially since my hips start hurting when I lay on one side for too long.

They say to lay on your left side because the biggest artery that carries the most blood flow to you and baby (the vena cava, I believe) runs down the right side of your body. Later in pregnant (when you have a belly) the extra weight puts pressure on that artery making it harder to get blood to you and baby. That's why they recommend laying on your left side. I lay on both, (I'm 37 weeks) but I can only lay on my right for so long before I start to get uncomfortable. Hope that helps explain it to you.

I don't think it necessarily bad though, to lay on your right side. I lay more on my right side than my left (although I do repeatedly switch sides as my hips get sore). Do what's comfortable for you.
