what is your opinion of the appropiate age for your kids to go over a friends house? my son(2) likes to play with this little girl(5) who lives next door and everyday she would ask me if he can come over her house for dinner, come and play,etc. but i just don't think its okay. Hes still a baby and hes still small.. he loves playing with her, and she would come over and I'd let them play outside but i just don't think its such a good idea or even time yet for him to go over someones house just yet..

I'm a strict parent I have a 5 and a 7 year old and I still don't think it's a good time for any play dates or sleepovers at someone's house

One of my little sisters is 9 and I hate when she goes over to the neighbors house. I always worry and watch out the window. My son will probably be 18 before I left him go anywhere!

Age 2 seems so little! I would stay with him...but I'm a paranoid first time mom. ;)

2 seems way to little. They aren't usually potty trained even by that point.

thanks ladies and i know i agree.. my son isnt even potty trained and hes still a baby. the little girl is really nice and sweet but she doesnt understand that well that he is way too small to go over and im a overprotective strict mom i wont let him out of my sight

my son is 5 and I really dont like him playing over friends houses the little boy next store is a year older next thing you know my son comes home and says boys marry boys and girls marry girls.. i said who said that he said Jesus which is the little boy next store WTH
