every doctor goes by different things

a girl on fb asked how to start labor at 34 weeks. said she thought it was full term. it's ridiculous.

Thank you! I wish ppl would stop trying to self induce at 37 weeks and 38 weeks. Like damn let the baby grow. Do they know how much the brain and lungs develop in the last few weeks?

Every doctor is different specially the older Drs mine who's been practicing over 30 years considers 37 weeks full term, all 3 of my baby's were born 36-37 weeks all perfectly healthy. I guess it all depends on dr

and yeah it really works my nerves seeing all these girls trying to induce labor once they hit that 37. Yeah your baby will come out pretty healthy and ready for the world...but they still have developing they could be doing @arivera64

@nessielynn I was just stating what I was told my OB and specialist, I would hope babies would develop up until the minute they are born and after. I'll ask my OB again

I had my baby at 28 weeks so if I have another one I won't care if I hit 41 weeks lol

my doctor told me 37 was full term also

There is information to support both 37 weeks being full term and it not being until 39. Newer studies are saying full term is 39 but for decades it has been 37 weeks.

your doc can tell you whatever... but the ACCG has redefined the terms as of 2013

We can read different articles all day long from different blogs and websites on what's considered full term, each dr is different. When I went in for my appointment the day I had my son, the dr's were happy that I was at least 37 weeks because they consider that term.
