doctors recommend working till you have the baby, even when there is aches and pains, since that comes along with pregnancy, unless there's actually something wrong with baby or you're high risk. If you haven't already, talk to the manager/head of your department(not sure what its called at hospitals lol) and ask to either change you to a task that is more easier for you like desk work, only taking vitals, ect, something that doesn't involve the 50pound pushing/pulling, or ask for shortened hours if you don't do the 50pounds every time you work. Remember you can't get paid maternity leave unless you're covered by FMLA, and its pretty hard to even get disability for being pregnant(even tho you can) and even then the pay won't be much. My doctor always told me with my last pregnancy while I was working, only start leave time before the baby if I can afford to, but don't if I really need the money since I already had a healthy pregnancy. try to make it as far as you can working before trying to get disability, maybe 35weeks? if you can make it that far with work.

You can have your doctor put you on work restrictions. The normal is 36 weeks. But some people definitely need to be of sooner.
