my moms husband always comes over smelling like cigs and grabbing too hold my baby and my mom gives her too him smelling like that. I'm not trying to be rude but how do I let him and her know ion want that smell lingering too my child and that she can still get secondhand smoke from the smell on him , right?

It's your baby, when I don't want someone to hold him I simply say no. Don't be afraid. It's for the best of your child. Tell him he stinks, period

Your baby can get whoopie cough and that could be life threatening to your baby. He needs to jump in the shower, put some fresh ass clothes on and stop smelling like cigarettes 😔

I would wrap the baby up in a baby carrier and strap her to you. maybe you could tell you mom you love them visiting but you don't feel comfortable with him coming around smelling like that?

@milasmomma, that's not what whooping cough is, whooping cough is the virus pertussis, but asthma could develop for sure!!------ definitely fair to ask that they wear a jacket when they smoke and take it off and wash hands before holding baby. your baby, your choice momma!!! (:

The nurses told me that whoopie cough could developed from second hand smoke lol @kattastrophe They were so wrong I guess 😂 but yes, definitely asthma and that's just as bad. Hopefully things go well! @booboolanii
