Need advice please. My baby boy is 1 week and 3 days old. Every time when he falls asleep I put him on his back and he wakes up and cries like he is not comfortable. So I pick him up and he lays on my chest and falls right back to sleep. So I try put him down again and he makes noises and wakes up again. So today we put him on his belly to nap on the couch and he did not wake up or anything. He slept so good! I am just scared about sids. Should I be worried? Can I let him sleep on his belly or no?
Try too only swaddle his legs and half his belly. Kacey likes her arms out and plus babies like too touch their faces. It soothes them.
You can't spoil a baby under 4 months. There's no such thing as too much love. My baby is three months and has slept in my arms since day one and everyone bitched that I was gonna spoil him and that he'd never sleep on his own and he does. He will sleep where he is put for however long he feels like it unless he's sick. Then he's mamas boy.
Yes I swaddle him but he really don't like it. He likes his arms out and about. I will keep trying to keep him on his back at night. And I don't want to keep holding him because I don't want to spoil him too much haha. Thanks for your advice @ashsloan @mrsschutte1323 @megbaby07
Kacey is the same way now. At night I swaddle her and she will sleep on her back. But during the day as long as she is beside me Or as long as I'm in the same room, I let her sleep on her belly. I just keep an eye on her
You can but you really shouldn't. Once researches found that laying baby's on their back to sleep the sids rate went down 50%.
And he slept with me in my arms because he hated his bassinet and I didn't want to sleep without him because I was afraid that I wouldn't wake up if he cried unless he was in my arms. When I was in my arms he didn't even get the chance to cry. I was awake immediately. He hated being swaddled as well. In the hospital the nurses swaddled him every chance and he just hated it.
