My husband and I don't have the best past, I don't fully trust him thanks to hear say and him hiding things from me, end result the situation was not as bad as thought but because he didn't tell me, the lies .. Ugh .. I didn't know who to believe, I've forgiven him, but as we all know, we don't ever forget.
Here's my current issue: so our washer and dryer suck! They have days where they done work right. Well when that happens because there's so many of us, we split laundry, my husband takes half to his parents and I take half to mine. Well he came up to me about 3 weeks ago and (this has happened before) tells me, he's so grossed out someone must have accidentally mixed our clothes up with theirs (someone being his mom) and we got a pair of his moms sexy time panties in with ours! I of course laughed hysterically! His mom is very young at heart. So this wasn't surprising! But he was so grossed out. Here's where it starts getting weird .. He took them last week (another load) kept his moms panties in there thinking his mom would come by them and take them, him saying he don't wanna be weird and say something to her. Well she never took them. I saw that and he says yep! Their still there I don't know why she hasn't noticed them. I'm doing laundry today and see them at the bottom of the basket! She STILL hasn't took them! So .. I think you all are probably aware of what I'm starting to think. 😞 I've confronted him and he's sticking with his story. I'm half tempted to send a picture of them to my MIL asking if these belong to her. They are her size and her style, but still. I don't wanna be played a fool. The reason why I don't wanna ask her is well .. Who wants the MIL sniffing around, that's what she will do .... I'm stuck.. Help...

well does she know you guys have had trust issues in the past? I mean if she does then she will understand you asking her but if she doesn't then its kind of hard unless you go with ur husband to there house and do the laundry and leave them there so she notices it

No she doesn't just cause she can be a little to much ... That's what I was thinking I'm not gonna know if their really even going back to her, unless I tell her or give them to her myself, otherwise if he is doing a "No No" he could just throw them away and say he gave them back to his mom. There's been instances where she has found my under clothes in her stuff and specifically sent them home with my husband and said " see if these are maras, if not Your dad has some explaining to do!" They were always mine. But ... In a way I fell like maybe if I asked she wouldn't think to much into it. Who knows. @browneyez2113

When I was about 17, I left my panties in my dad's car. My parents are divorced and they fell out of my bag when he was taking me home. His girlfriend found them and freaked out. Dad told her they had to be mine but she said "yeah, that's the perfect alibi considering you just took her home." My dad called and asked me if they were mine and made me describe them over the phone for her peace of mind. I thought it was a little ridiculous but thinking back, I probably would be done the same.

@gcpaschal, I haven't even said that too him, but that's a good idea! That'll be my next step when he gets home tonight, if I accuse him he always locks up so, I'll just tell him I'm sick of carrying around his moms underwear in my basket and I'll give them to her myself & see how that goes.

I would play it real casual though. Cool and calm like "hey babe, I'm going to give your Mom her underwear myself." If you start off with "I'm sick of" he might use that as a way out of something. If you just say it like the way I would and he says no you know somethings up.

@soontobemomof4, she probably hasnt taken them cause she doesnt think anything of it. i mean unless she is legit going piece by piece threw clothes she probably just thinks they are yours.
