I had 2nd degree tears too! & new will be 3 weeks sence I gave birth & he looked already before a shower & said he didn't see any stitches! & my bleeding went away & I just spot lightly!

Are you still bleeding ? This sounds gross but have your boyfriend / husband look down there and see if he can see the stitches , if he doesn't that means they are dissolved and you should be good , that's what I did and I didn't have any problems but I didn't stop bleeding until almost 5 weeks afterbirth , but I also had 2nd degree tears so it just kinda depends on your body

4 to 6 weeks what my doctor told me. i didnt have sex for about 2 months cause i didnt want any infections or and make sure my stiches were healed.

I wouldn't! You are so prone to infections...I was not ready till like 12 or 13 weeks!

I'd be scared about the tear. I had one stitch and I could tell at 4 weeks that it was still in the process of healing.

I wouldn't. But if you feel ready .... You want to wait till your uterus goes back to size and your cervix closes or else you could get and infection. I was hardly ready at six weeks 😳
