So I've asked before about hitting. My 15 month daughter will not stop hitting. I mean full on b*tch slap across the face. I finally decided I would flick her. She's to young to punish with toys or anything. That worked for a little,now it does not even phase her. Today she bit me, what else can I do to stop this. I'm due with a boy in 5 weeks.

Ugh. My son is the same way, always hitting and throwing things, and we can get him to stop. We were trying to keep him sit in his chair for a minute so he'd understand but he doesn't.. It's definitely frustrating ..

Someone told me to pinch them on the back of the arm like their moms would. Not to leave a mark just get their attention.

Pinching after awhile will do the same as the flicking, spanking her would have more of an effect then pinching her

I'm not against spanking, you just hear all the time not to correct hitting with hitting. She is a very very strong willed little girl and idk what to do

@taybeard, I'm in the same boat as you except mine is 20 MO and I'm due in 5 weeks with another girl. the futher I get the more this child hates me. she slaps and kicks and pinches and bites me. but won't do it to anyone else.. I can spank her.. tell her no.. sit her alone in her room. .. nothing.. absolutely nothing works... she's extremely strong willed as well so that does not help at all... she got it honest but at not even 2.... being 35 weeks... she makes everyday so exhausting and miserable and I feel like the worst mother ever.

My son is very stubborn and strong willed also! Spank the outside of the thigh where it will sting but not mark... Hitting isn't the same as spanking and she will understand that it's not acceptable... Especially if you are very calm and explain that we can't hit because we are mad and give her a firm no. As far as biting... My nephew was a biter and would bite everyone all the time and spanking wasn't working so he bit me and I bit him back... He never bit again! Sometimes they need to know what they are doing feels like and if they bite they are gonna get bit. Poor babies, life lessons are rough. Lol.

The smack on the thigh is a great idea. And she didn't get me good biting, bc I saw it coming and she will get bit back when she finally gets me. It's like she's so angry. Thanks for those ideas
