I'm in the Army and so is my husband, so we definitely have conflicting schedules sometimes but I wouldn't trade my job for the world. the Army also ensures that the family of the soldier is well taken care of too, which is a plus.

I use to be married to an army man and it definitely had its ups and downs. The ups, the benefits for sure. No taxes on food from the commissary. They paid half or more of our rent and I had no kids at the time. I think it was a lot more than half actually. His bonuses he received. Help when purchasing a house. The downside was I was scared to be home by myself when he was gone. I loved it when we were stationed to Georgia. If in not mistaken u get to choose. It was between Georgia and Germany. You will meet friends with kids. If you have help with your family that's something you will suffer from. I don't know about daycare. I hope this helps.
