General question. Why is it that so many of you women are being induced a few days after you hit 40…

I've heard many reports that women can ask for it or that Drs started being concerned with baby making bowel movement in the womb which can harm mommy and baby I know where I live tho you can request a induction from 36 weeks until 40 or 41

it has become a elective just as c-section ..safest time to get it is after 39 weeks , unless for a medical reason; some women tend to get it just cause of how "uncomfortable" they are ....😂

They perform NST to make sure baby is not stressed in which if the baby did poop inside he or she would be in stress and induction would be necessary (complication) @dlove2016

I get that but as I also said moms can request it as well and every every dr is different and every state is different I say to each it's own

Thats just crazy. That's another thing I will never understand why would you ever want to just have a c section (the recovery time is 10 times worse than vaginal birth) @muvah.earthh No one said carrying a 7lb+ baby in between your hips was ever comfortable 😂😂 like what the hell did you expect it to feel like butterflies and floating on clouds.

mines is going to do my induction causei have really low thyroid and he is a lil concern about it thats wat he told me

@karinat, that's a general concern and can potentially cause complications so being induced would be best for you and baby.

that's a medical concern though love @karinat , inductions for no reasons have potential risks and higher csection rate ! but some mommas don't think about that ..or they do, and just don't care. my biggest goal is to avoid pitocin while others prefer it that way ( most because they don't know what they are getting into and are ftmommies.

yea thats wat my sis told me plus he gave me since thursday that i had my appoiment till today at 3 to see if any labor started cause i havent had any contractions and cervix is still close my due date is tomorrow so today at 3 he is going to check me and tell me wen i will be induce but iam so nervouse and scared about it this is my first baby

@karinat, with my first born I didn't have braxton hicks nor dialated until I was in labor at 40 weeks 4 days. Feeling nervous and scared is common even if it isn't a mother's first child.
