@mamajuls06, you can be dilating. I've been a 1-2 since 33 weeks.

its normal the closer you get to 40 weeks the more your body prepares itself for labor

Yes I was dilated at 24 weeks

@mamajuls06, baby is probably head down too and getting lower. Normally dilation comes bleeding/spotting

@candacelouise, oh ok... I don't have any spotting haven't even had any kind of discharge so maybe I'm not dilated..

the pressure is fine as long as it's bearable and you're not having any contractions it's a normal thing and you wouldn't know if you were dilated and less you knew how to check your own cervix so you should just update your doctor so they can check you at your next visit

I would have your doctor check you, the pressure could be normal as baby is getting into position for labor. Also not all the time dilation is followed by spotting or bleeding, well in my 4 pregnancies is never experienced it.

@mommybump2016, oh ok. Yeah I haven't had spotting, I know my son has been head down since 30 weeks.. So that's why I was wondering if maybe it could be dilation, also my stomach gets maybe BH contractions?? And it kinda makes my legs start to hurt like it would when I would get my period... I'm a FTM so idk how any of this goes

@mamajuls06 yeah I'm not sure if you have to spot to be dilating I just know that it is very common to! But your doctor still may not want to check you cause dilating now is pretty common. My doctor doesn't start checking until 36, unless you've had a ton of bleeding. But obviously tell her/him about it! just don't be surprised when they say it's normal and not see a reason to check your cervix.

@mamajuls06, hope some of the pressure eases up! It can get pretty uncomfortable. Stay sitting or laying if you can. And if she does check you.... Relax. Haha that's about the best advice I can give, cause it really doesn't feel good. But it didn't last long.
