Has anyone went to the hospital/ER for SPD while pregnant? or did they wait till they could see their OB? This pain is unbearable to even move and my OB isn't in, and I don't want to go to the ER if they don't think its serious or there's nothing they can do.

Your ob will diagnose you with it if he hasn't already and he/she feels that's what it is. Apparently its super uncommon so my doctor had to do a whole bunch of different "tests" to see if that's what it was. With SPD there is nothing that can be done, just lots of Tylenol not doing a lot of physical activity and rest. The only thing unfortunately that fixes SPD is having the babt

I don't have spd but the pelvic pain while walking yes it's your body getting ready but feels like someone kicked you in the hoo-ha or rode a bike with a tampon seat riding on bumps. My obgyn said it's normal. Some days it's not bad then others I have a hard time with walking at all

@mom2b1984, I'm far from ready to have this baby, I'm only 18weeks, and the pain isn't in my vag area, its literally on the bone, and I've had this pain since becoming pregnant, and its far more worse then the end of pregnancy, I've had two already and know the difference. @rainbowbaby2015 she hasn't said I have it, but at first she just said that I have pain because I didn't give my body time to heal before getting pregnant again which was 7months after I had my son. sounds reasonable but lately this pain has gotten so much more worse, that I literally feel like someone is crushing the pelvic bone, to even roll over or get out of bed makes me want to scream. what kind of tests did they do?

yes but your body is also preparing itself. My pelvic pain started at 27-28weeks

yes it's the pelvic bone, this is my first full term baby so I was and am having the same problem and last week I saw my obgyn asked her so for me it's the pelvic bone, or pubic bone as some call it.

Its far more common in girls who have already had a baby or more then one baby. I'd just keep telling her what's going on but there really is nothing that can be done. Physical tests like pushing your foot to your chest to see if that hurts, squatting, and a couple other ones. This is my first baby and I started having the symptoms around 13 weeks and when my docor finally diagnosed me and said there was nothing that can be done I just tried to kind of forget about it even though the pain is excruciating. Believe me when I say it does get better. I'm 40 weeks and starting around 35 weeks it got better but there were still days I just wanted to cry. Know your limits and what you can and can't do, bending over isn't good and makes it worse so I'd say if possible don't bend over as much, don't stand on your tippy toes and reach high, and when it comes to walking do as little as possible.

What is SPD? Sorry if that seems like a dumb question I'm not up with all the abbreviations these days

@rainbowbaby2015, 😭😭😭 I wish there was something for this pain. around 5w I ran and I started to get pain, so the doctor thought maybe I pulled something and the pain hasn't been that bad till these past few weeks. ohh, I thought you meant like x rays or something else, shoot, doing all those things hurt so bad. I really hope it does get better

@mom2b1984, your body getting ready for birth and SPD are two totally different things.

Can you get spd for the first time, even if you didn't have it with other kids? This is my fourth, but way more painful in my pelvic area, most when resting.

@melinda2011131416, I'm sure you can. because I never had it with my other two pregnancies, I'm not sure if I have it this time, I'm assuming I am till my OB says otherwise. but from what I was reading its possible to happen after multiple pregnancies.

Ok! Thanks! I was going to ask my doctor about it too, and boy sometimes I have to waddle at 16 weeks.
