Anyone else have piercings that continuity get infected while pregnant even though they were healed before hand?? I have my septum pierced and was healed up perfectly but throughout this pregnancy its getting infected and it hurts so bad. I really don't want to take it out but I don't know what to do :(

when a piercing is healed it cannot get infected again unless there is another wound that connects to it... if this is not the case you are very likely having a reaction to your jewelry.... it can happen from changing hormones... no need to lose the piercing just change to a different metal... titanium is the least reactive and a great option for pregnancy

you might be sensitive to the type of metal. I have had to replace my gauges with glass and replace all my peircings with gold. I cant even use my old lotion or i get a rash. Its just an extra sensitivity my docotr told me it would to away shortly after giving birth.
