As a mother of 3 who breastfeeds, I can say it was very beneficial. If you will use it at home, why wouldn't you want it during the first few days? While building the breastfeeding bond with your new baby, the last thing you need is to be uncomfortable or worry about positioning. Sure regular pillows will do, but the nursing pillows are great.
I took it and used it once. You can barely move anyway so you have to keep it close to the bed but the bed is to damn little to begin with so the boppy just too just space. I ended up using the hospital pillow because it was easy to grab and honestly the hospital pillow did just fine.

Take it absolutely!!! It's so handy especially if you're nursing!!! So much better than a regular pillow.
