I'm about to sound SO selfish and immature but idc. So my boyfriend's mom is throwing us a shower on May 27th. His brother's girlfriend is due May 9th. The whole time we've been pregnant she's hated me bc she's jealous and feels the need to compete with me. Obviously they're invited to our shower, we weren't invited to theirs bc she's a bitch but whatever. But I honestly don't want her there because I know she's gonna find a way to make it all about her and her baby it's like hello? THIS IS MY DAY! I sound like a brat but seriously...anytime anyone even brings up Isabelle she has to go and say something about HER baby. I just know we're gonna end up overshadowed...

that's not selfish. you're right, its your day not hers. if she tries to make it about her, kick her out. you don't have to put up with it. I'd be pissed. I'd flat out tell her to quit being such a jealous cunt, but that's just me

That's not selfish!! It's YOUR day!!!!! You deserve nothing but positive energy around you. Don't invite someone who isn't going to put a smile on your face. You do NOT have to deal with that now or ever. It's your life. Choose positivity and love from a far, far distance if needed.

@jesjeslovesyou I honestly did not want to invite her, but he wants his brother there and he's not gonna come without her. I don't think it's right that they're invited to ours when she uninvited us to theirs, but it's whatever. I'm not gonna tell him his own twin can't come you know? It won't really be overshadowed by her, but I'm more afraid it'll end up being more about her baby than about ours because she'll already be here.

@arijane316 I've said something similar to that but it kinda backfired on me lol 😅 she ended up playing victim like she didn't egg me on for months. I had no issue saying anything either because she used to be my best friend and I'm the type of person who will say something if you need to get your shit together. I ended up being forced to apologize though. -_- Nobody else in their family really cares for her too much bc she's done some questionable things (like calling their unborn child a parasite) but they all have no issue acting super nice when she's around!
