So I had my baby 3 weeks ago and got a third degree tear. I really want to take a bath but when I left the hospital they told me not to for awhile but I feel a lot better down there. Do you think it's safe to just take a bath or should I call my doctor first?

I wouldn't. They say not to because you're not supposed to get soap near the stitches or you could get infection

you wouldn't want to get water in your uterus, which can cause terrible infection. it can take a while for your cervix to close after having a baby so you should wait until your doctor gives you the ok.

I took one even though they told me not to. My mom bleached the tub for me. I put Epsom salt in it to help with the swelling. I'm so glad I did that was the only thing that made me feel better
