Ladies, what do you make of babies being put to sleep on their side (being observed though!)? Poor Jayce is still really windy, even infacol hasn't helped so I've lay him on his side while he sleeps in the pram as he's been quite sicky and I'm scared incase he's sick when lying on his back.. He also seems to be breaking the wind better lying on his side (he's pumping away!!) I've done some research and it says online that it's a cause of cot death😳 but if I'm observing him and keeping an eye on him, will he be okay?

He'll be fine, Isaacs been on his side when sleeping a lot since birth for the same reason, nothing wrong with him :) xx

Think about it this way, if you were cuddling him to sleep he would pretty much be on his side, my little girl starts off on her back but when I wake she's leaning to one side and she's fine, don't worry too much about it, he should be fine xx

My daughter has slept on her side since birth. that's how they laid her in the hospital ! Make sure you swap sides thou or they get a flat head on one side as I've recently discovered 🙊

@tuftyturtle, oh thank god! He's up now and he's perked up a little so it definitely helped! Just going to be a case of keeping a close eye. There are far too many "risks" out there now. It's gotten silly!

My son slept on his belly from birth. my little girl hates it because she's so windy and has a sensitive stomach but if she was most comfortable like that I would let her sleep like it. There are so many 'guideliness' but they are just guidelines. All people are different so they can't suit every body! you will learn what's best for you guys and soon realise that people with their guidelines can go fuck themselves 😂😂

My girl slept on my chest..on her tummy the first few weeks after birth :) she is 3 months..and since about 2 months has rolled onto her side to sleep... I could put her on her back again but she'd wake up and she will only just roll onto her side again. She has been ok :) she has always had good head/neck control :) xx

@winterbaby95, yeah, my little boy slept on my chest lastnight on his tummy but with his legs curled in under his tummy in the foetal position! I just don't understand why some people get so angry and upset about it all.. Xx

i put my little girl to sleep on her side cause of her painful wind! she's the same, she brings wind up when she's lying on her side, she's been fine :D xx
