I'm working but I've just had a letter off my employer saying I'm not entitled to maternity pay, my OH works and we have our own house...I'm really worried incase I don't get any money as we won't be able to cope :/ @stacey804 xx

You should get maternity allowance. I got a letter off my employer saying I wasn't entitled to smp too. Go to your local job centre or print off the paper work on the gov website. Type in maternity allowance and it should come up. The sooner you get it in the better. Because they take a few weeks to process it. You will need to send in the letter you've getting off your employer and 13 weeks(I think) worth of pay slips. And your matb1 form aswel, has to be the original. Xx

I'm working too and I can't get SMP but I'm getting maternity allowance :) it's £135ish a week. If you fill the forms in online and send them off ASAP they will send you a letter saying what you're entitled to with a form to fill in once you've left :) xxx
