I'd seriously consider compression socks. I wish I would have used them sooner. They make a HUGE difference. I'm 39 weeks and being induced on Monday so I'm almost in the clear lmao 😂
i definitely haven't found anything to help yet. ive tried epsom salt, and high elevation but once they swell up, they stay that way until i go to bed and wake up but even then they are still puffy to the point my shoes still dont fit. lol. im 37 weeks today, not much longer to deal with this crap. 😂 @therockamom
If they're monitoring you, then I wouldn't worry about it. It's just extremely uncomfortable and unfortunate 😂. I'd suggest getting some compression socks and sleeping with them on. It really helps with the swelling. I actually caught a glimpse of my ankles the other day. But when I'm on my feet, I swell back up 😕. I hope you find SOME relief from it, because it's been difficult for me to find any lol.
they have been monitoring my BP and urine to make sure nothing pops up. everything seems to be normal so far. i just started swelling about 2 weeks ago now, and it hasn't let up at all. its been awful. lol . @therockamom
When you should be concerned about it is if you have a consistent high blood pressure with the continued swelling, if you have an intense headache that won't go away when using Tylenol and if you get blurred vision or dizziness. Normally if you have any of those you doctors will check you urine for protein which is a pretty good indicator of preeclampsia. If you don't have any of that, it's probably just swelling. I've been having INTENSE swelling for the last month, as well as some high blood pressure reading, but my doctors have monitored my blood pressure as well as the protein levels in my urine and it's just a result of me being so pregnant lol. "Pitting," which is the word used to describe the white indentation left in swollen limbs, doesn't really mean anything, it's just kind of a tool used to see how bad your swelling is.
I think as long as it doesn't go in and leave a print you should be okay. Just try to rest as much as you can and stay hydrated!
it leaves a white mark where my finger pushes down. they started swelling at my last Ob Appointment and she told me to keep them up and off of them. by morning they are still swelled and puffy but as soon as i start walking a little bit they blow up lol tonight is the first time they actually hurt from walking cause my skin is so tight. @mommytoabel
lol where do i find those?? @therockamom
