She till gets it from breastmilk I breastfed a my babies and that's what the doctor told me

I gave my breastfed baby water to help her, go with your instincts but mothers raised us and know what helps sometimes but you can of course feel different about it, her ped even said it helps them digest better when they're constipated. I had a constipated baby for a month and a half.

My FF daughter has to be on soy so she's always a little constipated and her stools are formed. I mentioned it to her doctor at her 2 month and she said she old enough and gaining enough so give her 2oz of water in the morning and at night. I asked about diluted juice and she said her stomach probably wasn't ready for that sugar.

Since birth, after I brought her home from NICU which was a week after having her. Water seemed to help her so much until we got it all figured out, she's been drinking it ever since. At first it was about an oz only, not a lot.
