I recommend watching interstellar. It's a pretty long movie but I love it. It's a total mind fuck. Id watch it when the kids are in bed..if you miss part of the movie you'd get confused. It's about the world ending due to dust storms, can't grow food and people are suffocating. So they send a team into space to find a new home.
