my midwife said to me that my baby is really low down and I could have him before my next midwife…
my midwife said to me that my baby is really low down and I could have him before my next midwife appointment which is in 2 weeks time. does this mean he is engaged for birth? I'm a little confused because she didn't really say anything other than "do you have your hospital bag packed? hopefully the deed will be done by the next appointment" and I wasn't asked about a birth plan or anything 🤔

Normally your midwife does your birth plan with you at 34/36 weeks :) My girl was 3/5ths engaged and I still went into labour :) x

They said the same to me at 34 weeks, he didn't come till 38, babies can be engaged for a good few weeks, I don't know why she panicked you, but babies usually arrive anytime between 37 and 42 weeks so you should be prepared anyway xxxxx

@winterbaby95, @darciepenny thanks girls and it's not that I'm not prepared it's just I feel like I could have been given more information on what I could expect to happen before going into labour, and been offered to make a birth plan to discuss pain relief etc but it seems I just have to let nature take its course and let my body do its thing. I do know the main things that will happen like loosing my mucus plus just thought I would have been told about these things from my midwife rather than finding out for myself... I hope I make sense 😂 xxxx

@laurenmichelle I would just go with the flow :) You can decide things during labour..they'll go through the options of pain relief anyway :) I didn't see my mucus plug hun...my waters just went randomly :) xx

@winterbaby95, thanks for the advice, I think I'd be more nervous if I made plans so I'll just go with the flow since I won't know how I'll be until it actually happens 😅 xx

my bub due on d 9th May too..head dwn but apparently sitting on d rim of my pelvis..wish s/he would engage n get this show on d road ;-/
