Right I need a rant me and my best friend have always been inseparable before she got herself…

It's really hard because you were once so close but doesn't this really show her true colours? She isn't a true friend of yours, have you asked her why she's behaving like that towards you? Maybe she's jealous that you've got a beautiful baby and your life planned out? Or maybe she just isn't a good friend, there are loads of pregnancy groups you can go to and meet loads of other mums, since having vincent im not friends with anyone I used to be, all of my friends are mommas and it's actually quite nice because they all know what im going through and they all understand how difficult being a mum is x

I thought I had so many close friends, not one has bothered to visit since having vin x

@darciepenny, she's always been hard to be friends as long as I can remember it's all been about her and she did recently have a abortion because her boyfriend made her and I know deep down she didn't want to so I think she resents me in a way i don't think she'd ever say it but I do think that's some of it! All my other friends are mums so it's lovely to have them around but when you've just got one best friend it's sad to see your friendship slowly die because I'm growing up and having a family and sadly she's smoking her life away it's sad X

@darciepenny, do you find that when your pregnant everyone wants to know you and once you've had it everyone is no where ? See I'm really lonely at the moment I don't see anyone every now and then I'll see my other friend with our god daughter or my school friends but I'm so bored during the days and I just feel like no one wants to spend any time with me so I sit in my room or just drive around and go for walks on my own X

I definitely found that everyone leaves you in pregnancy, they all expect to come see baby when they're here but I made clear if they weren't there for me through it all they couldn't pick and choose when they get to be a part of my life, you mature so much more when you're pregnant and you don't wanna be doing the same shit you were doing last year, people don't like that. The pregnancy groups really helped me, being friends with other mums is a lot healthier for me and I don't feel so alone x

im the same but with my sister @holliesinead like @darciepenny said maybe their not as good of a friend you once thought ive been through the same and still are its strange when people say you find out who your friends are when your pregnant! its so true. keep positive and find some better people to spend your time with 😊 having a baby is supposed to be a happy time your little one will soon be here and nothing else will matter always here if you neef a chat tho xx

I was in the exact same situation with my friend and the smoking. obviously I gave up the minute I was pregnant and don't smoke now. my friend bought things for my baby etc but I just slowly cut her out cos I can't have that round my child. it was hard and lonely but I can't afford to be dragged back down the road of getting high everyday and she has no reason to stop. it's really hard but worth it for my baby girl. hope you manage to sort something xx

I have the same worry with me and my best friend...I'm only nearly 8 weeks and I can already feel I must drifting. She has just split up with her boyfriend so we are in different places in life (even though she already has a 8 year old) she still likes to go out and be single whereas I would prefer to curl up on the sofa with an ice cream and my boyfriend. We do still see each other but don't feel as close...you need to find stuff that you can both enjoy and still do together, like go to lunch or even to the pub for a couple of hours (I usually have a couple of alcohol free drinks with her so we kind of feel like we are on the same level if that makes sence) I realise I rambled a lot here so I'm sorry if it doesn't really make sence lol xx

@byoungx, my friend has even said she was like I wouldn't give up smoking if I was pregnant and I think she thinks I should still smoke just to make her happy but she's gonna be godmother but I'd never trust her with the baby as awful as that sounds I really wouldn't my Oh still smokes not around me ovbs just in his own time and I'd never take it away from him as long as he has money to pay our bills and can function around me I couldn't care less but I know my friend couldn't go without it even if we went out for lunch or something she'd bring one with her where as at least my oh does it away from me and in his time but she seems to have no respect for me or baby xx

@amyloux, I wish she would still wanna do stuff but all she wants to do is smoke wherever we go or do she can't even drive over to mine without smoking on the way it's so annoying xx

Read the other comments and realise that it is weed your talking about. It is a real pain with stuff like that especially as I'm assuming you used to both do it before you were pregnant? me and my OH were the same we used to smoke it together I've now stopped it obviously but I do allow him to have one now and then in our shed. Would you not let her go outside and smoke one if she needed it that badly...at least then you could see her and she would be smoking it away from you? xx

yeah my friend was the same. She was my best friend and at that time my only friend. My OH is the same and now the babies born if he has smoked I make him change his clothes as soon as he comes home. I know what you mean about bringing one out for lunch etc. My friend invited me to her house on the rare occasion when I was heavily pregnant. She had her partner over (Which I didn't know about before I went) and they sat the whole time smoking bongs outside the conservatory doors while I sat inside them 😐😅. It's a hard thing to stop and obviously cos it's our babies not out friends they don't have the same drive as us to stop. But surely she should be doing her best to make sure she doesn't have it around you. Like have one before and after she sees you if it's that bad. As you said it's like she has no respect for her or baby. I know it's hard to bring up tho especially if she would smoke it when she is pregnant and would expect you to do the same. Maby just make a joke next time like 'you won't be doing that when your with me when babies here!' see how she reacts. I really hope you get somewhere cos I had to loose my friend over the same stuff and it really isn't nice xx

@amyloux, yeah I let my oh go out and soray himself after the smell makes me gag now yeah I would let her if she ever came over lol @byoungx I hope when baby is here she may grow up a bit I know it's not her kid but she will be godmother so I hope she'll be a bit more mature but she's to selfish and why shouldn't she be she doesn't have any kids so I do get it it's just hard seeing us grow apart xxx

Yeah I make OH get changed the smell makes me sick too now lol! It's hard to fall out with your friends especially the ones that your close too. That's why I joined up to this cause I felt really alone as all my friends either have no kids or have older kids so we're all in different stages...I'm the only pregnant one so a little left out (even though I'm really happy and wouldn't change it for the world) joined this site so I can have people to talk to that are going through the same sort of stuff 😁😁 xx
