Looks like my baby isn't going to have any godparents, none of my closest friends are reliable anymore and I wouldn't trust them with my baby if I died. That sucks 😕

Godparents are also there to help guide the child spiritually through their path to God. I mean, that's what it's supposed to be. So, it was hard for me to decide also. We just now decided on my sister and her husband...and my daughter is 9mo old! Haha. Don't rush it! It's an important decision.

Most of my close friends aren't religious so that doesn't help either...also none of them have been there for support this whole time even though I've really needed it. I just think I need to find new people to be in my life @jennatess

a godparent doesn't have to be religious that had absolutely nothing to do with it, just someone you trust that will be there when you need them and i understand where you are coming from pregnancy showed me who was really there for me and who wasn't, i made my cousin the god father of my daughter because he has his shit together and I know he would drop anything to help my daughter and be there for her to support her if something happened to me @deeds22

My baby has a god parent, my bestie, but in reality if my husband and I passed she would go to my sister anyways. It's just a nice gesture/title. To me it doesn't mean anything. I'm not religious, my bestie is though.
