has anyone experienced their amniotic fluid leaking really slowly?
i think that's happening to me, but im not 100% ughhh.
yea I would rather do hassle of hospital if u do seem to still leak rather than worrying. u don't want it to get low
i just changed and im gonna see if anything happens. lol. im freaking out, im so ready to meet my baby. 😂 @kaydensmommy5 @mommylife2three
hospital can always check u . all they do is a swab inside and put in a tube and after certain mins it turns a color if it has amniotic fluid on it. if it does they will admit you. if not u just go home. no biggie.
@aliepaige, I just called my OB yesterday because when I stood up fluid leaked out. I thought it was my water breaking but come to find out it was urine due to position of baby. Once you change your underwear you should stay dry. If your water is leaking you will usually notice within that time frame. But some women tend to leak a little urine due to coughing, sneezing, laughing, pressure of baby, etc.
so if i get wet in 20 minutes or so its fluid? i smelled my underwear when it was noticeably wet and it didn't have any smell at all. @kaydensmommy5
@aliepaige, my OB told me the best way to find out is to go to the bathroom and pee as much as you can. Take a towel and dry your bottom and even 2 inches inside. Put on clean underwear and you should stay dry for 20 minutes. If you do leak, fluid tends to have a sweet smell while pee has a urine smell.
Last pregnancy, I went in for an ultrasound and my amniotic fluid was low. I had no idea that I'd been leaking a little the whole pregnancy. They checked two days later and it was lower. Eventually it got dangerously low and they had to induce a month early. If you suspect, get it checked.
