so last night I was feeding emory her cereal, and I was also going to try and give her some cough…

so last night I was feeding emory her cereal, and I was also going to try and give her some cough meds (we are still fighting the tail end of a cold).. I put the meds on her spoon with a tiny bit of cereal at the end (so she would get the cereal first and the meds would go in right after).. it seemed to work, no as much spit out thankfully.... so I guess I want to ask, is it OK that I have a little bit of cereal on the spoon too? if I try to just use the syringe she spits it back out and hardly gets any... she also doesn't take a pacifier so that's out, and I'm just starting to introduce a silicone spout sippy cup (she has refused a bottle for the last 3 months)
