Prayers & positive vibes would be appreciated! I was supposed to get oral surgery done May 2nd. Found out I'm pregnant last week so the surgeon wants to wait till June when I'm in my second trimester. Woke up Sunday with half my face swollen from another tooth infection: my doctor has me on antibiotics (that are safe for the baby) & if they don't work in 10 days they will order an emergency surgery on this tooth. She said the infection is worse on the baby then getting the tooth out & stitches they have to do. Trying not to stress since I'm still so early but feeling so overwhelmed & frustrated with this infection & pain trying to eat. 😞 hoping things go more positive for us & my birthday is this week too.

I went through the same when I was 14 weeks very scary. half my face was swollen due to an infection caused by my wisdom tooth so that day they pulled it out I called my doctor and they reassured me everything would be okay as the dentist would use local anesthetic. My babies fine and I'm 19 weeks.

@bornyou, dang I'm glad I'm not the only one! How was your recovery? Cause I'm assuming they didn't give you any pain meds right??? Was it hard eating and maintaining being healthy with the baby? My doctor wants me to wait till my second trimester but because the infection keeps coming back I might have to do it sooner

they gave me 3 novicain shots i took Tylenol and I was fine I ate on the one side of my mouth for awhile but I still ate normal food just because my baby needs acfually food.

@bornyou, I have to get 2 teeth taken out one on each side 😞 so I'm pretty nervous about the pain of eating and maintaining being healthy through the recovery
