Anatomy scan today FTM don't really know what to expect. I have to drink a ton of water an hour…

Interesting that your husband isnt allowed until the end. It is an ultrasound where they check everything on baby. Heart, body parts, etc to make sure everything looks good and also see the gender.

That's so strange they won't allow your husband. I've never heard of that. My husband was allowed at both of mine. It's an amazing experience though. You get to see your baby and they measure everything. You'll know how big baby really is and they check heart, lungs, etc 🙂

@simplyairbear, @ktkayxo I thought it was strange too, I asked when I was making the appointment if my spouse was able to be in the room with me and she seemed confused "um no he won't be allowed in until the last 5 minutes after the exam is complete" and I was like oh that's strange he wants to be there so badly and I want him there it sounds incredible and he's so in love with our little girl he wants to see her

@samclark5, I would ask someone else. There's no reason he shouldn't be allowed in there. Doctors love both parents being present for everything, so I don't see how they wouldn't want the dad present to see his baby. It's the longest ultrasound you'll get and detailed with everything.

Yeah I agree with @simplyairbear I would ask again. At my first one I had my husband, mom and mother in law in the room with me. This time Im taking my husband and best friend. Its an exciting appointment so its nice to have family there! @samclark5

That's really weird... My husband sat in on mine the whole time. And it didn't take an hour but baby did cooperate well so they were able to get all the images they wanted fairly quickly. I would definitely contest that and say that you want him in there the whole entire time! No reason he shouldn't be allowed, he's dad!

yeah that's weird there shouldn't be any reason why his can be in the I had my finance n his best friend in there with. me

I had mine yesterday, it was an amazing experience and my bf was there the whole time, the lady even told him to start recording through out some parts! Definitely take your man in! This is your first baby it should be special.

@sarai, that's so nice! At my doctors appointments they make us turn our phones off. They say it's going to interfere with their machines 😞 but for this appointment they are having me go to the hospital where I'll be delivering so I don't know if it's different protocol but I really hope they let him in.
