What's it like going into labor and delivery to get checked if it end up being nothing?? I was 4cm yesterday and lost my mucus plug this morning and having contractions now and was told to go to labor and delivery.

If everything is okay with you and baby they will just send you home. But if the think it's time for baby to come, they will admit you into the hospital

If you're 4 cm and having contractions regularly they may just keep you anyway. That's how my hospital is anyway

Like could I go by myself just to get examined or whatever and if the hospital thinks it's time and they admit then call my parents and boyfriend? @kylamommy2016

So that way if it's not time for the baby then I can just leave and go home without making everyone come there for a false alarm lol @kylamommy2016

Yes lol that's what I would do. But they will let you know if they keep you.
