tips for flying with a 1 year old? i did it last year when she was 3 months didn't cry a lot just…

Take her to a park prior to going to the airport or even your house and let her run around like crazy and play to tire her out and then keep her awake and feed her right before you go so she will be full and tired so she will sleep the ride

its hard because i have to drive 2 hours to the airport so im sure she'll fall asleep on the car ride @savvylynn1

I just did a trip with my daughter back in February and it didn't go so bad lol. I tried my best to schedule the flights around her nap time so on the way there, she fell asleep on the plane and it was amazing. On the way back, we had a later flight so she was up. I just made sure I took plenty of snacks and books and the plane I was on had wifi so I took the iPad and played a movie for her and it was okay. she was more entertained with looking out the window so it worked out. they let you sit by the window? on american which i took last year they said i have no choice but the have an aisle seat

@mommy.of.sophia.navay, oh really? I flew southwest and yeah they let us sit by the window when they saw how small she was. They also let us board last so she wouldn't be sitting as long.

Try to see if there's an extra seat so you can bring her car seat on the plane. I did that and my son who was 19mo at the time just slept most of the time. It was like a car ride.

the only thing about that is ill have to get another plane ticket for her plus dragging a carseat around 2 airports wont be easy! @carterclaytonb

Not if you just bring it to the gate and ask if there's a free seat. You get to put her in it for free on most airlines. I didn't have to pay for another ticket. And if they say no you can just check it at the gate. They also have these things that you can attach your car seat to that make it kinda like a roller suit case. And you can put your daughter in it while you pull it and you won't have to worry about chasing her around.

Definitely take her seat, it's much safer. if you hit turbulence she will become a projectile. Babies get thrown all over the plane that way. remember taking off and landing accidents happen alot more than people think as well. everything is strapped down in the plane down to the peanuts, so should the babies❣
