Period like cramping pains but a little more pressure I'll be 38 weeks on Thursday and dr is checking to see if I'm dilated tomorrow morning anyone else experience these pains also? I lost my mucus plug a few weeks ago.

I had real bad period cramp pains, right about the same weeks as you. Went to L&D was only dilated to 1.5. Turned out was having contractions but not frequent enough to keep me. Try chewing on some ice or drink really cold ice water. It helped while I was in the hospital. They told me to take it easy.
I've been having the same kind of pains too. I lost my mucus plug a week ago too. And when me and my boyfriend were having sex earlier I had a contraction. I'm trying to just take it easy for a little bit until my appointment on Thursday, I'd try doing that too if your doctor says anything
