most of the things I have for my baby are hand me Downs... I only bought a few new things and the only other clothes that I have that are new are from my baby shower. everything else I have is all used. the crib high chair and 95% of the clothing is all used.. I would say I'm pretty lucky !!

it would be nice to use hand me downs for my Lil one but it will be the first baby in the family in over 8 years. it really sucks

I didn't really have to buy anything for my son. All hand me downs. Even the crib the only new item was th car seat/stroller and my sis bought that. 😌 we don't turn anything down over here.

exactly. there's nothing wrong with wanting to save money! especially with the big things like the crib. I got the crib and matching dresser and changing table given to me for free.. I'm so greatful for that because there was no way I was gonna be able to afford that...😅

I was thinking of doing that to. we have been looking but everything and the thrift stores here is beyond messed up. so I guess its all new for us.

I was very blessed and lucky to get hand me downs. 90% of my son's stuff is. The only thing bought new was his car seat and crib mattress. Then there's some outfits my grandma couldn't pass up but even then almost all of the clothes are hand me downs.

unfortunately no one in my husbands family has baby girls and none in my family either.. I try to go to yard sales but my mother refuses to let me buy used clothing.

@cubanese, No its nothing wrong at all with that its just people act like they are to good for it ! If they got it to buy new things that's great but feel some sympathy for those not fortunate to do so! some people just like talking down on others situations! Not cool

I agree. There are some thing I'd prefer to buy new but for the most part, as long as It can be washed/sanitized it I don't see what's wrong with buying used. Like you said they grow out of it all so fast!

@cmbwalker, so true! Some of my baby things will be new to but things that can be given I will accept those as well!

Preach it! I totally agree. My attic is full of used baby stuff. I'm using my money on a new house not new clothes that will get outgrown too fast.

I don't see anything wrong with used clothes nor hand me downs! But unfortunately I am a SAHM and my hubby makes decent money to support his son and me. Everything was new, but I give things to ppl he out grow or didn't wear. Because everyone isn't fortunate and trust me I no most of my clothes as a child were good will thrift store. My grandparents stayed there for us. And I will do it for my child with no problems. I love used stuff and I see nothing wrong with it. I agree some ppl be acting funny about it smh.
