I didn't know it was supposed to drain either....Mine hasn't. I'm glad you are getting better. All you can do is take it one day at a time and look at the little progress you're making each day.

It's getting better very very slowly . It's everything associated with it that's just driving me crazy . And this is a repeat for me but this time they cut my abdomen and I've never been more irritated in my life . Then I didn't know the shit was supposed to drain and now it just drains when it wants to . @dcaspar I'm over it and glad that there will be no more babies outta this girl . My babies make me feel like it was worth it but yeah . I wish I knew then what I know now about c sections and induction and stuff I would have had my first and all my kids vaginally .

I was a dumb ass! My son was transverse so it was going to be a c section and I figured might as well get my tubes tied as well. The day of my scheduled c section he turned head down I still chose to have a c section because I had had extreme pelvic pain during my pregnancy, had a feeling he would flip chain before pushing him out, wanted my own Dr, and had to have a cervical cerclage and some stitches was still in there. If I could do any day over it would be that day and I would say induce me any Dr would be fine delivering my baby, I would deal with the extreme pelvic pain during labor and leave the damn stich in if it won't cause problems. How's your recovery going are you able to do most things are you still in extreme pain?

@dcaspar, that's exactly how I feel . You get real anxiety dealing with this shit !!!!!! I got my tubes tied with my incision so I'll never be going through this shit again .

C sections are the Fucking worst! I would never go through it again. I was going to get my tubes tied and said screw it I'm not going through both surgeries/recoveries.....Husband is going to step the hell up. I just had mine on 4/15 and the anxiety, and stress you go through just praying to God it doesn't get infected and heals right puts you over the edge. I don't think I will finally be okay until they say you are completely healed its closed and can't open and can't get an infection from here on out....that will be the day that I throw myself a party and celebrate me officially being normal again.

@mimiz, my doctor told me the drainage was fine as long as it wasn't funky smelling or had pus coming out of it. I'm 7 months pp and there is no scar and healed nicely.

@ms.jones, yeah mine drained too. It has something to do with the layers that they cut through. When you get a c-section they cut through 7 layers so what happens when they are stitching you up and stapling you there is fluid that gets trapped in between they layers. So when the layers start to heal the fluid is pushed from layer to layer until it reaches the top where it drains.

Ohhhh no! I don't know how normal that is because I've never had drainage with my 2. @ms.jones I hope you feel better soon though. Try to take it easy (I know, easier said than done!)

@gcpaschal, I don't think it happens to everyone. I got some clear drainage coming out of mine. My ob told me as long as there was no foul smell or oozing green or yellow I was fine.

My doctors told me drainage wasn't ok? I guess everyone is different I mean while I was in the hospital they checked me every single days taught me how to care for it but I cured really quickly and it healed very well they gave me these abdominal pads they're really soft and I put them there to keep up it dry it helped a lot then I started wearing like controller panties so that it would compress it

I had my c-section 14 days ago. At what point does it start to drain? @andrew_nikolai2015

The draining, unfortunately, is normal momma. As long as it doesn't smell and it has green or yellow stuff coming out it's ok. If it smells nasty then it's infected most likely. I used to put a strip of gauze with neosporin on it so the drainage wouldn't get on my clothes. Also try a gurtle I wore one and omg it saved my life lol it kept everything nice and tight so the movements on my abdomen weren't as harsh. Also air it out blow a fan on it to keep it dry especially since it's draining.
