It's not recommended esp until 3rd trimester. I ran out of Benedryl and had to take a 5mg one night and my doc told me not to worry but to not take it again.

I was told it was ok to take at a very small dosage.

I knew benadryl was safe but wasn't sure on melatonin with it supposedly better for yoy

You can take unisom or benadryl.

Not safe to take melatonin during pregnancy...

it seems a lot of docs feel differently on this one. mine told me not to take it at all and to take benadryl instead but some docs say it's okay to take.
