Especially since me and the baby's father aren't together.

had mine with all ladies... my husband was away at work so it worked out... hes side actually did get butt hurt.. but i told them to help my mom also that way everyone could go they decided not too... so grateful of the baby shower i had... pretty sure you will enjoy it thats what matters

I have never had a baby shower with any male presence before it's always been girls only for me.

I havnt asked about his family coming. I just know she doesn't want him there. Our families have never met though. So I think it'd be a good time for them to finally meet, after a year of us being together lol. But our families are so different. Idk what I should do. I like his mom aunts and grandma, and his side of the family is actually gonna throw me a baby shower too, but I feel bad not at least inviting them. But like I said, they don't know eachother and i feel like they won't really interact with eachother, other than when they get there and meet for the first time. @nevaehsmommy87

my dad doesnt like my boyfriend and i do not like his parents , and my dad and his dad do not like each other, but we are having everyone come only because they are all family now and i cant keep his family from there grandbaby and i cant tell my boyfriend or dad not to come so i just decided to see how it goes .. kimda scary though cause most of my family dont like his parents, but they are all fine with my bf except my dad .. well the ones who know about what they have done

@alainasmommy916, you shouldn't worry about them feeling bad! Your boyfriends family would probably not want to be invited anyway since they're throwing you one also😀 just enjoy both! I hope things turn around for your mom and boyfriends relationship because he is the father and he will be around!

I think my family would be okay with his mom grandma and aunts. Their all nice. And they've never done anything wrong. She just doesn't like my boyfriend cus she knows how he's treated me in the past and stuff. But I mean, id like them to meet before the baby gets here cus then the first time our family's meet, will be in the hospital after baby gets here lol. @meagan_garrett

yeah the only reason I think it'll be fine is because their throwing one also, I hope so too. I really hate that she doesn't like him. I understand her reasons but, people change. So I hope one day her opinions do too. Thanks!! @nevaehsmommy87

I did guys and gals, we had mimosas and beers. Everybody commented that it was much funner then any baby shower they had been to and they really enjoyed it. You family is going to have to accept your child's father. They don't get to cherry pick when he is and isn't involved in his child's life so this is a great opportunity to set boundries.

I'm doing girls only but some of my aunts like showing up with their husbands so my dad will be keeping them entertained outside
