yesterday I was told my amniotic fluid was in the low normal range, so a bit lower than they would like it. I was told to up my water intake and I have another ultrasound next week to recheck. How worried should I be about this? They told me that low fluid could indicate that the placenta isn't functioning as well as it should and that really worries me a lot 😓

I had it with my first and she was a perfectly healthy baby.. she & I are both on the small side. & You get extra ultrasounds too.

You shouldn't be worried at all, if it was that serious they would've kept you in a hospital, and you got few more weeks to go, if anything by week 37 your baby will be ready come out. Just do what they told you to do! My 1 year old was born at 37 weeks, she's healthy and bubbly!! I think your fine, just drink more water that's all!

I'm due in less than 3 weeks so I don't have that much time left but it's worrying me that they said the placenta may not be functioning well :/

That happened to me at 34weeks 4days. And it was serious, they put me IV fluids for like 48 hours and did me another ultrasound to see if it increased any. If not, they would have take the baby out at early 34 weeks because baby can not resist in such low amniotic fluid. Thanks god AF went from 4.7 to 13 real quick and they sent me home. My mom is a doctor in my country and she says Coconut Water is the best to increase amniotic fluid levels. I'm taking 2 or 3 cans Daily plus as much water as I can .
