Hey chick don't worry about other people ..me or my ex arnt working either I'm on benefits for my depression and anxiety my daughter wasn't planned she happened and then my partner left me for someone else I have provided her with everything she needs along with my and his family have helped it's not about the money..but I do know what you mean X X

Ignore people who judge you or make you feel judged, their not worth a second thought. Loads of people need help with a new baby on the way and not all of us have what others have. If this is your first baby your entitled to grants such as a sure start grant? As well as others. I'm a single mummy to be, work part time.. Only income il be getting is maternity pay, which won't be much due my hours, so I'm gonna be needing a bit of help till I go back to work. You do what ya have to do for your baby not for others xx

Ignore them! It's your baby and your life! People on benifits aren't scum at all! That makes me so mad!xx @firsttimemummy21

Just because you're on benefits doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy. I pay an awful lot of tax but couldn't care less if people are on benefits or not. It's nobody elses business but yours. We all have needs and the right to be happy and shouldn't be judged for it 😊 xx

@lou, some girl I went to college with recently wrote a status saying she hates it when people on benefits moan about not having enough money and then put something like "sorry the money to pay to taxes isnt enough for you!" that made me so mad! I told her she should try living on benefits then she wouldn't say that! xx

Take no notice, she clearly hasn't done her research xx

@firsttimemummy21, I'm in the same boat as u. hubby disabled and have been on benefits for 3 years... ppl don't understand. my hubby is severely sighted and has multiple illnesses, people are still judgemental... I'm his carer,, I save the NHS a fortune by doing everything, also we both volunteer too. but there will always be someone judging us all. hold your head up high. no one knows what its like till they live in our shoes xx
